She was<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Cherubino<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>in a production of Mozart\u2019s<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u2018Le Nozze di Figaro\u2019<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and appeared as<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Bradamante<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>in Handel\u2019s<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u2018Alcina\u2019<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>in Neuch\u00e2tel and Bern.<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>The Pocket Opera<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>in Zurich engaged her in 2007 and 2009 for Gilbert and Sullivan\u2019s<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u2018The Mikado\u2019<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>und<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u2018The Gondeliers\u2019<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>under Howard Griffiths.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">As a<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>recitalist<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>Roswitha M\u00fcller has performed with the pianists G\u00e9rard Wyss, Hans Adolfsen, Kelvin Grout and, more recently, with Valentina Pfister, at many well-known concert venues.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">She has participated in<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>radio broadcasts<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and made many<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>CD recordings,<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>for example<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Fanny<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong>Hensel\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>Lieder (for the label \u2018troubadisc\u2019) and works by the Dutch composer<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Rudolf Escher<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(for \u2018ottavo\u2019).<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Since 2005 Roswitha M\u00fcller has taught<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>vocal studies<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>at the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Hochschule der K\u00fcnste<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>and the\u00a0<strong>M<\/strong><strong>usikschule Konservatorium in Zurich.<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>She lives in Basel and in Tuscany.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BiographyThe German mezzo-soprano grew up in L\u00f6wenstein (Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg).She sang in choirs and played the organ prior to discovering her solo singing voice.Roswitha M\u00fcller began her vocal studies with Christiane Hampe at the Karlsruhe Conservatoire and subsequently studied with Kurt Widmer in Basel, where she obtained her teaching and performance diplomas with distinction.
